Graduation Requirements
Pathways offers two diploma tracks designed to provide dropout recovery options for students ages 16 and older in grades 9–12, specifically serving at-promise, credit-deficient, out-of-school, and/or out-of-work students. The first is a UC/CSU A-G 210 Credit Track and the second is a 130 Credit Recovery Track. The decision for appropriate track placement is determined by the educational team in conjunction with the student and parent, if applicable. Instruction for all tracks will be delivered exclusively through partnerships with our WIOA partners, consistent with Education Code Section 47605.1(f) and 47612.1(a)(1).
Pathways’ two diploma tracks are as follows:

- English – 40 Credits
- Mathematics – 30 Credits
- World History – 10 Credits
- U.S. History – 10 Credits
- American Government – 5 Credits
- Economics – 5 Credits
- Life Science – 10 Credits
- Physical Science – 10 Credits
- World Language – 20 Credits
- Visual & Performing Arts (VAPA) – 10 Credits
- Physical Education – 20 Credits
- Electives – 40 Credits
TOTAL: 210 Credits
130 Credit Recovery Track
- English – 30 Credits

Students will be advised that for University of California (UC) entrance, four years of approved English courses; three years of college-preparatory mathematics (four years recommended); two years of social sciences including one year of U.S. history or one-half year of United States (U.S.) history and one-half year of civics or American government, and one year of world history, cultures, and geography; two years of college preparatory science, one with lab (three years recommended); two years of the same world language (three years recommended); one year of visual/performing arts (VAPA) chosen from the following: dance, drama/theater, music, or visual art; and one year of approved elective coursework; for a total of 15 college preparatory courses (A-G) with a grade of C or higher.
